This project was born from my interest in blending utilitarian objects with figurative sculpture, exploring how art can become part of everyday items. Inspired by the significance of my own name, I decided to investigate the history, pop culture, and impact of various figures named David who have left a mark on the world. This led to a series of mugs, each representing two Davids that I find particularly fascinating, as a creative tribute to their influence and legacy. The project is constantly evolving, and the collection will continue to grow, incorporating new characters and stories that invite reflection on the power of a name and a figure in culture and society.
